BEMM RIVER ANGLING CLUB FISHING REPORT 24/11/16
Bream are still being caught in the Lake as well as in the River. Late in the day has produced good results, however, 27 and 28 cm Bream are by far the most prolific. There seems to be bigger fish to be had in the Lake. Spawning Bream are everywhere, and maybe these will migrate into the River as the season progresses.
Tides have been quite high, and if there are larger fish yet to spawn, they should show up in the River soon.
The Angling Club enjoyed wonderful weather at Lake Tyers last weekend. Forty members took part in the clubs secret weight competitions. Fish were hard to find, and although all sections had fish weighed in, good quality fish were hard to find.
Club members were delighted with the accommodation, and enjoyed the meals provided by the club. Bacon and eggs for breakfast, barbecue Saturday night, and the sweets were a real winner.
Prizes were presented to all section winners, many thanks to Peter.
Winners of our major raffle were drawn, and the 1st prize of a car fridge freezer was won by Paul Mills. 2nd prize Carry Case of Top Dog tools was won by Chris Garland, and Ellie Mc Coy won a Coffee Maker. Terry East was the winner of a box of lures.
We would like to thank members who donated prizes for our raffle.
Di and I would also like to thank all the members for the wonderful help you gave us over the weekend, fantastic.
Everyone did there bit to make the weekend a fun time, catching a fish was just a bonus, and we all look forward to next year.
FISHCARE will be held on the Friday the 30th December, followed by our club competition on Sat 31st of Dec, and Sun 1st of Jan. Further details to follow.
