Bemm Fishing Report 4/12/15
BEMM RIVER FISHING REPORT 19/11/15
Anglers are enjoying good catches, with most of the fish being caught in the Lake.
Sandworm and Frozen Prawn have been the best two baits.
With the Lake open , the water levels have been low. The recent storm brought some dirty water from out of the River, and it is taking some time for it to clear up.
I have not had any reports from the Surf, but this week grading has been carried out on the Pearl Point road. This should encourage anglers back onto the beaches.
This week club member Geoff Pursell caught, measured and released a wonderful Bream. At 45cms and weighing 1.6kg it took some landing , and could have been Geoffs
largest Bream. This Bream took an old smelley Prawn, and Geoff was thrilled to be able to watch this trophy fish swim away.

BRAC lake Tyers fishing Weekend.
8th & 9th November 2015
23 members met and dined at The Waterwheel Tavern on Friday night, where plans were formed for the weekend.
Breakfast of bacon and eggs for everyone, and a cut lunch for out on the water, and then the bait was handed out.
We arrived at the boat ramp about 8 am. It was very windy, and blowing from the west. Our boat fished in the shallows, and I was rewarded with a 38cm Bream first cast using a hard body lure. With the strong wind our drift was hard to manage, so we moved to a sheltered area near the power lines. Sandworm and Prawn attracted some pretty good bites, and we kept about five Bream. Photos were taken using the brag mat, and a couple of fish 38/39 cm Bream released.
The wind was hard to manage, and the afternoon effort , only produced a few undersized Bream.
Most boats bagged a few Bream, a couple of Flathead and a Trevally. Bream were weighed in for the secret weight comp Saturday night. A wonderful barbecue was enjoyed, after which the secret weights were decided.
On Sunday fish were hard to find, however new member John McCoy, landed his biggest Bream ever measuring 41cm, well done John.
For more photos of the weekends success check out the photos page.
Sunday lunch time , we enjoyed a picnic lunch in the amazing garden of Anne and Stan Barker at Tooloo Arm. This was a brilliant way to end a fun weekend.
BEMM RIVER ANGLING CLUB FISHING REPORT 3/11/15
Bemm River is maintaining its reputation as a productive destination for our visiting anglers. Many excellent reports have been coming in, with Bream still to be found in the River, as well as the Lake.
A storm produced lightning and heavy rain on Saturday afternoon, and sent anglers in early, but most had good catches anyway.
The Lake remains open, and recent rain will maintain River flows.
Trevally are showing up in the Lake, mostly near the Channel mouth. Good size Flathead are coming in, as well as a few Luderick.
There are amazing numbers of Bream just on the 28cm mark, and it is pleasing to hear how many are being released. They will grow , and be there for the future.
Surf fishing seems to be forgotten, I have had no reports from the surf.
Angling club members gathered at the hotel on cup day, and after lunch patrons were canvassed for their support for the clubs annual raffle. The atmosphere was very relaxing, and the tickets sold well. The Melbourne Cup was done and dusted, after which the raffle wes drawn.
1st Prize. 45litre Techni Ice Fridge Freezer was won by Joy Mc Coy
2nd Prize Double Bed Swag. Won by Bob and Beryl King
3rd Prize Surf Rod and Reel Won by Geoff Pursell .
We thank everyone for their wonderful support.
Members are heading to Lake Tyers next weekend November 6th and 7th, our first trip away for some time.
