The lake remains open, with good tides coming into the estuary.
The river has been good value for many anglers, and some very windy times have produced some higher tides, and made it very easy to get into the river.
Some anglers are finding the better fish are in the lake. The river mouth has provided some good bags of quality bream, as well as the mahoganys close in to the bank.
Pelican Point has produced some nice flathead along the sand bank, and we have had reports of a few Trevally in the channel taking sandworm.
No reports from the surf, but I have had a report of a nice brown trout, caught on a wobbler type lure. It was caught up in the river under the bridge.
Our major raffle for the year was drawn on Melbourne Cup day. Many thanks to all those who supported us, it has been a great success.
