BRAC FISHING REPORT 18/5/16

The water is rising slowly, and still has 6 inches to reach the level where it can be opened.

Anglers are working hard for their fish, and with flat calm days it can put the Bream off the bite. Early morning has been the most productive, with some good sized Bream being landed from the fishing platform as well as the fingerling jetty.

Local frozen prawn as well as sandworm is attracting good quality fish, The lure fishermen have had good results using hard bodies, vibes and plastics.

Pelican Point is worth a try, the channel has provided good results, and on the sand in the Mud Lake area has been popular.

With the high water, trawling for big Taylor can be great sport. Watch for any birds diving, this can indicate where the Taylor are.

Salmon on the surf have been consistent, but the better times have been early or late in the day. A variety of bait seems to be working well, as well as the poppers.
