FISHING REPORT 1.3.2012
The Lake was opened Tuesday 21st February and it emptied out overnight.Fishing has been good with the river mouth and the middle of the lake popular. The flathead have been most affected by the lake opening. Fishing the incoming tide is proving worthwhile with a few trevally and yellow fin bream being taken.Salmon are all along the beach with some good hauls right at the ocean end of the channel. The lake is very low and with 60ml of rain as I write it should stay open for some time.It is still raining and this becomes an unusual period. The few prawn that we had seen are gone, however the bream are taking frozen prawn quite well. Best fish for this report was a 47cm bream.
