FISHING REPORT July 5, 2012
On the few good days this week bream have been taken on bloodworm wriggler and vibes. Bream are moving into a bit deeper water, so it is important to move towards the middle of the lake if possible.
Bait fishing requires patience and as most angling has had to be done down the channel results have been below average.
Salmon and Tailor are also down the channel and providing good sport, a big entrance seems to be helping to clean the lake out with large areas of sand appearing where weed had been prolific.
Trolling lures for the salmon and tailor gives our junior anglers an opportunity to warm up a bit with plenty of exciting action.
Coastal Board Update.
Some of us were invited to a meeting in Orbost in response to the huge amount of letters and submissions received by the Coastal Board
The draft has been amended in our favour. East Gippsland Shire announced a large budget of $300,000 on hand to carry out the plans that will be produced as a result of the Foreshore Management Plan.
The Bemm River Community will be invited to consult with council on this very important project.
New infrastructure is being proposed and we will have to get this exactly or as near as to how we want. Members are invited to be involved, and this is one chance to be heard. Dates and times of any meetings will be advertised here on Don’s Blog.
