February Report 2015

Posted by brac on February 23, 2015

The Lake has closed and fishing continues to be rewarding. The edges of the Lake should produce good results from now on.Bream and Flathead are taking frozen prawn, and the channel has been worthwhile, as there are Trevally mixed up with the Bream and Flathead.Early morning and late evening seems to be the best time.

The surf has good size yellow eye Mullet at Pyoot Bay, and they are taking pippy and peeled prawn. Pearl Point is producing Salmon on lures.

The Lake is holding a lot of prawn, but they still remain small bait size.

Members fished against Stratford Angling Club, with Bemm retaining the shield, with a Bream weighed in by Michael Roll at 1.044kg. We are now fishing against Marlo on the 28th of Feb and the 1st of Mar, for the heaviest Bream. It would be great to see a lot of our members there.
