BEMM RIVER ANGLING CLUB FISHING REPORT 12/12/16
The lake has closed this week, and that has changed fishing opportunities a bit.
The latest report indicates that the channel has produced a variety of fish including Bream, Trevally, Perch and Taylor.
The River remains a good option, especially late in the day. The size has improved, and it seems there are Bream to 40 cm coming in. These fish are in the lower section of the River, and seem to be responding to the change in Lake levels.
Now the entrance has closed, chances are the Bream might spawn in the Lake as they have done in the past.
Anglers will find conditions will change as the Lake rises. Extra water brings the shallow areas around the River mouth, Swan and Mud Lake, as well as Pelican Point into consideration.
We are pleased to inform fishermen that at long last we have some navigational aides in the Lake, and they are solar operated. Thank you to all those involved.
