BEMM RIVER ANGLING CLUB FISHING REPORT 16/12/15
Anglers are enjoying good catches of Bream using fresh and frozen Prawn.
Prawn can be dipped around the edges of the Lake, however most nights have been windy. Flathead are being landed using plastics as well as fresh Prawn. The Flathead are a good size, and seem to be moving towards the channel.
The Lake remains open, and we had some big tides during the strong Westerleys last week.
The Christmas breakup was held on Tuesday15th of December and 22members attended. A roast meal was provided by the club, after which ,our last meeting was held.
Final arrangements were made for Fishcare Day, which will be held on New Years Day.
This commences at 10 am until 12 md, for all children, who will get the chance to learn how to fish. This will be followed by a free barbecue for all.
The members only fishing competition will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of January.
Weigh in times Saturday 12 to 12.30 and 5 pm to 6pm at Luderick Point, and Sunday 12md on the hotel verandah. All sections will be secret weight. A light lunch supplied by the club for members will follow, and presentation of prizes made.
Our AGM will be held on January the 12th 2016 at 6pm. A meal will be provided, and we look forward to seeing you all. This will be followed by the AGM. Membership fees will be due. We have had a very successful year, and we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
